In my last post, I mentioned that our family is going to participate in a Spartan Sprint this next August. Nicholas convinced us to do one after he completed one in the summer of 2018.
Here he is all ready to drive through the pain. He was climbing over some wood barriers getting in line.
He is doing the barbed wire crawl now. After this point, it is really hard to figure out who he is because everyone is covered in mud.
This one was called the A-Frame Cargo. He is on the far side by the flag.
Here he is on the monkey bars. I used to be able to do the monkey bars when I was wee little.
The first picture is the lovely hill they have to run up. Then it is the water slide at the end (helps clean them off a little)
Here he is with his time.
Here he is with his medal.
Because it is on a Motor Cross track, most of what he did was out of my view (even with a zoom lens.)Here is a video of Nicholas on the monkey bars close to the end of the race.
If you are really interested in seeing a lot of what it is about, or you are planning on doing one, look up online, “Spartan Race Tutorial.” On second thought, don’t. It totally freaked me out! Here is the map of the course Nicholas did.
Have a great day,Karen
Nicholas, OMG!!!! Very impressive. I will definitely come watch next year. So proud of you. Never fear a good challenge.
