Our home had wallpaper. I like wallpaper. If I pick it out. Otherwise it must go. There are two good things abut this wallpaper:

1) It was only on four walls.

2) My dad and his friend Bill said they would remove it for us.

First you have to remove the top layer and then put holes in the paper that is underneath.

Like this….

Then you spray wall paper remover all over the wall which allows you to scrape the paper off.

When that is all done you are left with a bare wall. Next comes texturing.

First though you must prep the work site. DSC_8096

Two plus hours of prep time.

No wonder they do this when there isn’t anything but drywall in the house.

Then came the really laborious part. Painting. All the walls… in the whole house. DSC_8154

Most of the upstairs is this pretty green. Two walls will be a yummy brown.

In the laundry room she had a cute wall paper boarder of laundry blowing in the wind. It

seemed appropriate so I kept it.

My dad and Bill are helping again. This is the fourth day and they are beginning on the downstairs. They are so great. It is not easy and there are a lot of walls all of which require two coats of paint. Bless their hearts.

I’ll update when it is all done.

Have a delightful week.
