In a previous post I told you abut our four adult farm geese and their reunion with two of their babies.
Our neighbor Reina had rescued six of the goslings before they became dinner for a red tailed hawk. Her plans were to keep two, give two to her mom and return two to the farm. She returned the two to us as previously detailed.
A couple of days ago she asked if she could give us another two. Apparently her mom decided she didn’t want geese. So in a repeat performance she brought over another two goslings.
Joshua carried one of them while Reina went for the second.
Joshua decided he would personally deliver the gosling to its family. Nicholas went along to help. They’re a great team.
The transfer went off without any unexpected incidents. Back they came.
They could be gondoliers in Venice. The water looks just about as clean.
Aren’t these little ones so cute?
It is too bad that once they get with the adults they wont let us pick them up anymore.
They are still pretty enjoyable to watch. Although I think eight farm geese is quite enough.
Farewell from the farm,
Karen
Well, I wrote this once before, but being the computer geek that I am I don’t think it took.
I love the geese. They are more beautiful inperson than a picture. I love the room accents, grandsons’! Nice job. The grounds look wonderful after all the weeding, mowing and edging. I personally prefer Round-up. (smile). I am so proud of you, Mom and Dad for choosing this new lifestyle. I know you are loving it, the work, the accomplishment, what you are giving my grandsons. I look forward to our next trip down. It is truly heaven on earth. Love, Mom, Karren and Grandma.
