Time has certainly flown by this last year in Amity. And, almost exactly one year after I built my shop, I am finally getting electricity brought to it and will have lights and outlets.
Here is a photo gallery of our largest DIY project to-date, The Shop Build. From the first day of digging post holes, to the final day of installing the roll-up garage door, it took 9 days. I had help from some of my favorite people: Dayne helped me set all the posts in concrete; Nick helped get the roof trusses up; Ken helped with the framing of the walls and the door opening and part of the roof; Dean helped me do all the wall steel. And of course my wife Karen with her total support and encouragement as I worked 16 hour days and my boys who scrambled up and down the roof and scaffolding, and were relentless in their assistance. THANK YOU to everyone who helped.
