When we first looked at this house it was in April and there were bulbs in bloom EVERYWHERE.
Well, its February and flowers are popping up and it is quite enjoyable.
I thought I would share the beauty with some pictures.
Daffodils
Narcissus
No idea
Crocus
Heather?
There are hundreds of daffodils that haven’t opened yet.
It seems early, but I sure to appreciate the gift.
Enjoy the day,
Karen
So pretty! My favorite time of year, despite the horrible allergies. Everything “spring”ing back to life. It’s all so amazing and lovely to see.
Yes, and it gives you a little hope that everything will be green and pretty again.
I hope you enjoy your mixer. Have someone lift it for you. It isn’t too heavy but still, no need for more back pain.
xoxo,
Karen
Thank you for sharing the photos. They really boost my anticipation of spring! Now I am jealous 🙂
We are still cutting wood to stay warm here.
Enjoy your flowers!
Kimberly
I think these early flowers are a gift from God. You will get yours too.
We had a couple of nights that were into the high 20’s and yet the daffodils didn’t mind it at all.
They must be more cold tolerant than me.
Enjoy the snow! We are jealous of that 🙂

My husband knows plants very well. I asked him to take a look at the tree with red flowers.
He said: “It’s a red maple. The type of flower is called “naked” flower because it doesn’t have petals. The sepals are red instead of green like on a rose. The flower buds are opposite each other on the twig, which is a characteristic of maple. The leaves in the autumn are likewise vibrant red.”
That’s a beautiful tree.

Thank you so much. I’m learning that I like to know what we have here on the farm.
It is a beautiful tree…..I think it needs to be pruned though:-)
It is funny because now I can’t look at a tree (especially now when there still aren’t leaves) and notice if it has been pruned or not.
A little knowledge and I become dangerous!

Fabulous photos. Soon most of those (I don’t think we have heather) will be popping up their little heads around here. What an interesting climate you have. Seemed like a very brief winter. Love you
Yes, almost no winter at all. That is one thing about Oregon, none of our seasons are harsh. Very mild here.
Michael and the boys would love tons of snow in the winter and I would love a summer long heat wave!
I tried to reply to the “Letters from the Farm” but it failed.
I’m so sorry that your goose didn’t survive. Not a big fan of death.
Take care and love to you both,
Karen
Lucky! I’m still slogging through drifts to bring in firewood. It’ll be late April early May here before we get flowers.
It is pretty amazing.
Our winters have been polar opposite from what you guys are going through.
Just think how wonderful it will be when you see those first flowers.
Take care,
Karen
