Wow how life can change in a month. For us it was all for the good. Here are some highlights….
Chores. A lot of chores. There was a ton of painting. Thankfully most of it was done by our wonderful helpers. Gotta love people who help. People who help with painting should get a special crown in heaven.
There was the fun time cleaning the barn.
Fencing in pasture for our future goats was a must.
Building a barn door to keep them nice and safe at night was also important. Michael actually built two doors. The other is directly opposite this one and it is in the future pen for the bucks. Can’t have those boys and girls mingling. Keep them on separate sides. It is a good parenting motto as well.
And there is always mowing to be done.
All types of mowers are needed to keep this place in shape. And to keep the allergies somewhat under control (with medication).
And then there were the plumbing fixes. I think I’ll do a separate post on this chore.
There were new friends. Two legged and four legged.
These are some new friends. Don’t ask me their names….yet.
And then there are old friends. Happy birthday Nate!
The geese have doubled. Four to eight in less than a month.
I think this one likes me.
How did this one get in here. Eight legs doesn’t make a friend. There was one in Joshua’s room and in Nicholas’ room at the same time. Michael took care of them.
Luke. He is everyone’s friend.
These are the baby pigs that currently reside in our barn with their mom. They will go to the fair at the end of the month and will not come back. Shhh. I don’t think they know about it.
And last but certainly not least are the ladies. Brown Sugar and Halle Berry.
Well that covers some of our life in June. Enjoy your July.
Karen
I can barely wait to see Brown Sugar and Halley. I have already seen the rest and been there for some of it. It is so wonderful. Your new life is heaven right here on earth. I look forward to Nicholas’ July birthday next w/e. (Actually in Dec. This time he can celebrate his bday when the weather is good in this new, beautiful, free outdoor wonderland they own.) Love , Mom, Karren and Grandma
Those of us who have a farm can hardly believe the progress, or should I say the amount of work and accomplishments you have achieved in such a short period of time. God bless you all as you create a masterpiece. I know it comes with a lot of hard work, but you seem to have great helping hands and abundant determination. Glory!
We love you,
the Stebbings
