This morning I did something to help me build my upper body strength all in preparation for the Spartan Sprint next August. We had a goat project to do and it involved dividing the upper pasture into two sections for breeding. Since it is a temporary thing we used cattle panels and T posts. I drove seven T post into the ground. SEVEN!
When we moved here four and a half years ago I could only lift the fence post driver and bring it down twice.(It weighs 17.5 pounds itself.) I think I need to start doing more of the
heavy chores. Because I have a great place to work out .
Here are some pictures of the upper pasture split into two breeding pens.
Woody will be in with Halle Berry, Sandi, Spitfire, and Brown Sugar.
Joe will be with Blue,Rose, Mouse and Jesi.
We are really hoping Halle Berry and Spit Fire get bred and have babies. Last year it didn’t happen for either of them. Actually Halle Berry hasn’t been pregnant and kidded since our first June on the farm.
Happy September,
Karen
Way to go, Karen! I hope you wore a protective hard hat. Nick got 8 stitches about 5-6 yrs. ago when the post pounder riquiched off the tee post and hit him in the head. $2 at Home Depot!!!! Be safe❤️
Wow! I knew it could happen, not the stitches but the getting hit on the head so I was really careful. My shoulders are still a little sore. I”m thinking about sinking post just for the exercise. Thanx for reading the blog.
Hugs,
Karen
Hi Karen, I don’t see my comment did it go through?
Hi Karen, you have a beautiful farm. We just bough three mini Nubian goats and are very interested in buying a goat hay feeder from you guys. I put in my email through the contact me page but I’m not sure if it went through. If you would contact me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much!
