For the past four days we have had some cold temperatures here on the farm. A lot of things are covered in ice. It sure is pretty.
The pond started to freeze. Apparently the pond has frozen enough in the past that it was used for ice skating. The boys took ice off of a leaf. Very pretty.
The boys found a few ways to play in the cold.
Ok, so there isn’t any snow but that doesn’t stop determined boys from sledding down a hill.
Ooops.
Of course, what one does the other must do as well.
The goats have their own way of dealing with the cold. A nice fuzzy winter coat.
My way of handling the cold is a roaring fire and a lot of hot tea.
Stay warm my friends.

No snow sledding looks like fun. I totally agree on with the warm stove. I *love* our wood stove when temps drop into the 20s and teens (like now!). Not that we have a second option for heat but there’s nothing better than a nice warm fire on a chilly night. I’m partial to chai or ginger teas myself, nice and warming!
We have been sick here (some of us longer than those young whipper snappers) and we have all been drinking a lot of tea with raw local honey. I love chai as well. Love a good English Breakfast and Earl Grey too.
