We have geese. I have no idea what kind of geese they are. We just call them farm geese.
Here they are.
In the spring they had babies. 10 babies. A red tail hawk took one a day until there were only six left. Then Reina, the neighbor, took them to raise until they were bigger.
She brought two of them back (she is keeping the rest) just the other day.
They are too cute.
She became their momma.
We reunited them with their family and everything went swimmingly.
This one is the dad.
Here is the mom.
The other two are all white like this one.
The babies seem to be happy and adjusting well.
They look so funny when they run. It is as if they are trying to reach the finish line.
Off they go.
To the pond. We have a momma duck and ducklings too.(The red tail hawk got most of her babies too.)
Aren’t they pretty.
They like living here and we like looking at them. It is a good fit.

Cute, cute, cute. Enjoying your blog.
Oh how I wish I were techy like you. Would love to share images too. We just rescued 4 ducklings, and then the mother. Mother ducks are defenseless, where mother hens will fight to their death. Male geese are usually very aggressive too, but I guess there is no stopping the hawk, especially when they are down by the river. Ours our on the pond, by some lay up against the house. I think they know their chances are better, as we have lived with them so long. Like one big happy family. We love your stories, as you write a new book about life on the farm. Love you too.
Opps. That would be “ours are on the pond…”
