We have to talk about this Brat sandwich.
But first, here is a picture of the lobby at the Embassy Suites. Michael and I had a weekend getaway here.
On Saturday, Michael and I went up to Portland to celebrate our 16 year anniversary. We stayed at the Embassy Suites in down town Portland. We always pick the Embassy Suites whenever we want to do a quick get away.
We had a lovely time just the two of us. Enjoyed the outdoors, did a little shopping and ate at my favorite restaurant, “The Alexis”. Best Greek food.
When we arrived home on Sunday afternoon I needed to get dinner ready. I switched Sunday nights scheduled dinner with Monday nights scheduled dinner. It was something that can thaw out quickly and we all love. While I was making it I thought I should share the recipe. Who doesn’t sometimes need a tasty dinner that is quick to make?

Killer hoagies Karen! Looks absolutely delicious. So glad you and Michael got away. Happy 16th anniversary and here’s wishing you many, many more happy year together! XO
Thanx Allie.
Yes, we had a delightful time. A real treat to get some time alone without all the responsibilities.
Have a great day,
Karen
They look so yummy! Coincidentally, my Monday dinner involves brats as well. Today, it will be with traditional mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Next time, hoagies. Hm, are they Bratwiches or Bratburgers 🙂 ?
Kimberly
I love brats. I always have those and Italian Sausage in my freezer. Quick meals.
Well, since I don’t put any cheese on them, or pickles or ketchup…..I’ll stick with Bratwiches 🙂
Enjoy your weekend,
Karen
Thank you, Karen, for reminding me about the weekend. I have been working so hard on my projects for the last couple of weeks that I truly believed that yesterday was Monday 🙂 . But I’ve got the whole weekend to enjoy. Thank you, and have a nice weekend too!
Kimberly
Yeah! It must have been a happy moment when you realized it was Friday and not Monday!
Off to make soap.
Hugs,
Karen
