Joshua and I spent all morning building some feeders; one for a customer and two for our barn. I build these feeders for customers all year long, and am just now getting the last couple stalls in our barn outfitted with our favorite style feeder. We call them “Sloped Panel” feeders, and they minimize hay waste, and allow us to feed grain in the bottom collection tray.
The goats were hanging out next to the shop all morning while we were building the feeders. They are always a good excuse to take a break.
And finally, this Saturday, we finished pruning all our fruit trees. It feels so good to have them done. We still need to collect the remaining limbs and burn them, but we will save that for another day.
At the end of the day I realized this was the first time I have spent the entire day working on the farm since all of the cancer treatment and surgeries. It feels good to be getting my health and strength back!
Until next time!
Michael
So glad to hear you are getting back your strength. Feeling puney is so hard when you are use to being busy and productive all the time.
Our God is an awesome God!
Prayers,
Your favorite sister in law
To be honest, there were days when it felt good to have an excuse to be lazy. Shhh, don’t tell anyone though! We missed you guys yesterday!
Enjoyed your post and hearing you are doing so well. I understand regaining health and strength after treatment. Just a normal day doing ‘normal’ things is a huge win. Each day gets better 🙂 Best Wishes.
Thanks Dee. Funny how good normal can feel, right??
