So a few weeks ago I posted about our new water supply room and as I was looking at the pictures I had taken it gave me to motivation to actually finish the room. You know how it is, there are often too many things to get done, sometimes you just want to get done what needs to get done, yet you don’t actually complete it. What I mean is you finish the necessary part of the project, the main practical or functional reason for the project in the first place, but oftentimes you move onto something else, and leave projects not entirely completed. Well, we put in the last few touches to completely finish the water supply room. The added bonus is this room is also the room our customers come to when they pick up their milk and eggs, so hopefully they appreciate the improved cleanliness and organization we have added.
Karen and Nicholas did the majority of the painting, it needed two coats. When I finished my paying job that Friday afternoon, they had finished the painting and we put up the shelves. What a difference this makes, I smile each time I walk through this room now.
Cheers from the farm,
Michael
Nice! Hope to touch bases with you soon! njw
Yes, it would be great to see you to NW.
Wow!! Looks great!! Sure wish I was close enough to get eggs and milk. How is your Mom and Dad doing Michael?
Hi Joy, we wish you were a bit closer as well. I am sorry to say Mom passed away in September. Dad is in a memory care facility here in McMinneville, and doing well physically, but his dementia is pretty bad and just a sad situation. Thanks for always following along.
What did she die of? I sure wish I had been told! Where is she buried? Did you sell the house? I am so sorry!! I saw her in August and she didn’t look like there was anything wrong. I have had problems of my own, the arch fell on one of my feet and I have not been able to get around to well. Using a walker and then a brace, but Praise be to God it is straightening out pretty good. I will sure miss her!!
I so enjoy your blog about your 🚜!! I know Karren loved it too. Sure wish I could come down and see your farm. Did you get healed from cancer?
Thanks for getting back to me and for the news.
I haven’t been able to read your blog until a few days ago. God Bless you and your family!!
Hi Joy, coroner said stroke. Didn’t do an autopsy so don’t 100% know, but she died quickly. She was cremated and we will spread Mom and Dads ashes at the beach where they spent so many weekends together. Yes, we just sold the home 2 weeks ago, Dad is in McMinnville in a memory care facility. Sorry to hear about your health issues also. Yes, Mom loved being down here, I am grateful to have so many good memories with her. God Bless you, and if you are ever in the area, please stop in. Michael
Michael,
Thank you so much for letting me know. Was anyone with her when she had her stroke? She was such a special Lady and I will always remember her. I loved her home especially the back yard. She had us over my daughter and my grandson plus the woman I take care of Jo. We really loved the peacefulness that you felt there.
Where is your farm located? Maybe we can come by on our way to the beach. What beach did she like?
God Bless you and your family!!
Hi Joy, Dad was home when she passed, and it sounds like it was quick and peaceful. She is in a better place now, we all take great comfort in that. We live in Amity, 10 minutes south of McMinnville. They spent many weekends at Whale Cove, not too far from Depoe Bay. They loved that stretch of the ocean. God Bless you as well Joy.
Michael,
Thank you for letting me know. I really love that stretch of the Oregon beach. We use to go there a lot when our kids were younger. I will try and stop in some time in the Spring or summer to see your farm. Do you have a phone number where I can called before coming over?
I will always remember your Mom!!
Our prayers are with you all.
Thanks again,
Joy Giancone
